On June 4, Charge d'Affaires John S. Creamer delivered a donation on behalf of the U.S. Government of 400 books and other publications to the public library in the town of Tarata, Cochabamba where he was declared Guest of Honor by the City Council headed by Mayor Emilio Rojas Montaño.

The donation was part of the ongoing U.S. Embassy book donation program "Estados Unidos y Bolivia unidos en la lectura," which has so far donated over 30,000 books to over 100 municipal libraries, public colleges and academic units throughout the country.

The event was attended by approximately 1,000 students from primary and secondary schools in the area. They will be the main beneficiaries of the donated books.
