Welcome to the Consular Section in Bolivia. One of our priorities is to provide immigrant and non-immigrant visa services, including Diversity Lottery Visas.
We are committed to providing a courteous and professional service to all applicants. For detailed information, please use the links on the left margin of this page to select the appropriate visa classification.
The Embassy is open Monday through Friday, except on U.S. and Bolivian holidays click here for a list of holidays.
Non-Immigrant Visas
Interviews are conducted Monday through Friday by appointment only scheduled through our Call Center.
Diplomatic and Official Visas
DO NOT schedule your appointment via Call Center. Present the required documents at the Consular Section from 14:30 to 15:30, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. (Domestic employees must schedule the appointment with the call center).
Immigrant Visas
Interviews are by appointment only, petition filings (I-130) are received Friday from 14:30 to 15:30 and Lost/expired green cards process are received Friday 13:30 to 15:30.

Schedule your appointment as soon as possible! Due to the current demand for visa appointments, you may experience a delay of almost three weeks.

Due to the high volume of correspondence the Consular Section receives, we will give priority to those e-mails addressed to consularlapaz@state.gov soliciting information or concerning topics not covered on our website. In most of the cases, we will respond to your inquiry within 2 business days.
