Women-Themed Photo Exhibit Opens in El Alto

On October 10, a photo exhibit entitled "Con Mirada de Mujer" was inaugurated by the U.S. Embassy at Gregoria Apaza Women's Center in El Alto. More than 80 guests, mostly women, attended the inauguration ceremony in honor of the Bolivian Women's Day, celebrated annually on October 11. "Con Mirada de Mujer" is an exhibit of 40 photographs depicting American and Bolivian women performing their day-to-day activities. The exhibit is the result of a contest for amateur photographers sponsored by the U.S. Embassy through Facebook and will be shown permanently at the auditorium of Gregoria Apaza Women's Center after completing a nationwide tour.
