Embassy Soccer Team Plays in Batallas

On December 9, the Embassy La Paz men's soccer team played the municipal team from Batallas on Battallas' home field near Lake Titicaca.  Despite a valiant effort, Embassy La Paz lost the match 6-9.  After play, both teams gathered on the field for a traditional lunch.  The Batallas game was the first of the season for the Embassy men's team.  The Embassy has fielded men's and women's teams since 2007, both of which play against rural and urban teams near La Paz.
