How to Register to Vote in Bolivia
U.S. citizens who will be overseas on the date of a U.S. election may visit the Consular Section, U.S. Embassy: Av. Arce 2780, La Paz, Monday and Thursday from 13:30 to 17:00 or Tuesday and Friday from 8:30 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 16:00, Window # 8.
Steps to follow:
Step 1: The voter completes and mails the Federal Post Card Application Form, available at the U.S. Consular Section. Information on oath/witness requirements should be obtained before mailing the card.
Step 2: If the voter qualifies, the local election authority mails the absentee ballot to the overseas address the voter has indicated on the application form.
Step 3: The voter completes the absentee ballot and sends it back to the local election officials in time to meet state deadlines. Information on oath/witness requirements should be obtained before mailing the ballot.
